Sometimes we seethe and moan over the unfairness of a situation and, in anger, frustration and self-preservation, out to prove a point about our worth, we slip…down…down…down…from our place up on the mountainside into the deep valley below.
Our actions are self defeating. We were almost at the top, and now we lie, bruised, aching, bleeding, back where we began. What will we do? Will we stay where we have fallen? Or will we stand up and set out again, another lesson in our packs and a bit more wisdom and understanding in our minds?
If onward is what we choose, we find, that over time, the weight we bear lessens. Like a balloon with helium for each lesson learned, it lightens our steps and speeds the journey. This path is not for the faint of heart, but this time the climb will be a little easier.
